Approach

Research showed that customers choose quickly based on visuals, layout, and readability. Using this insight, the menu design simplified navigation, highlighted signature dishes, and balanced bold teppan energy with fresh, clean sushi aesthetics. Every choice aimed to guide ordering while reflecting Kobe’s high-quality, inviting experience.

Solution

Started with an initial menu mockup to establish structure and map out where each food category would be placed for optimal flow and navigation.

Designed a streamlined layout that improved clarity, emphasized signature dishes, and balanced the bold energy of teppanyaki with the clean, fresh presentation of sushi. Each design decision was made to guide users through the ordering process more intuitively while reflecting Kobe’s high-quality, welcoming dining experience.
